Description

Sunny Rain, Shawls Wigan by James Lawrence Isherwood

One of Isherwood’s classic Wigan townscape paintings, some of his most desirable and sought after subject matters.  Featuring his iconic Shawled figure in the foreground of a colourful townscape. Purchased directly from the artist in the early 1970s, remarkably this painting has been in one family ownership ever since having never been framed or hung until now.
