Description

Sun, Old Wigan by James Lawrence Isherwood

One of Isherwood’s classic Wigna townscape paintings, some of his most desirable and sought after subject matters.  In this fabulous composition, he depicts the townsfolks in front of the terraced houses int eh shadow of Wigan’s skyline.

Purchased directly from the artist in the early 1970s, remarkably this painting has been in one family ownership ever since having never been framed or hung until now.
