The Bandstand Peel Park by L S Lowry Original Drawing
One of the finest original drawings by L S Lowry dating back 100 years to 1926.
This incredible drawing features Peel Park, the iconic site which featured in many of Lowry’s works, particularly around this period of his life.
Lowry attended Salford School of Art as a mature student which was housed in what is now Salford Museum and Art Gallery hence he took in this view many times. He also walked on the opposite side of the park when returning home from his rent collecting round.

Provenance: From the estate of the late American artist John Hubbard and the Leferve Gallery. Purchased in the late 1970s by Hubbard who lived and worked in England for more than 50 years winning the Jerwood prize in 1996.
