L S Lowry’s original lithographs are amongst his most collectible editions, not only are they from smaller edition runs of just 75 examples, but each is deemed as an original lithograph due to the artisan and individual nature of the lithographic process.
Of the series of lithographs, this particular title is one of the most classic Lowry subject matters depicting the typical northern figures against the backdrop of the mills for which Lowry became so famous. This particular example is in wonderful condition having been previously sold by Halcyon Gallery, London, and still bears the Halcyon label to the reverse. This piece is also sympathetically framed in an acid frame mount with conservation glass to protect the piece from UV light.
