A tremendous original oil on board painting by the late William Ralph Turner depicting Saltersford in Cheshire. As ever with Turner, the painting emphasises mood over detail with the slightly distorted buildings in the foreground sitting in the shadow of what appears to the aqueduct or viaduct. The painting is signed to the front and titled to the reverse.
