The Cart by L S Lowry Signed Limited Edition Print

This limited edition print of L.S. Lowry’s The Cart captures a wonderfully understated yet evocative moment, characteristic of Lowry’s unique observational style. The composition is simple and spacious: a quiet, pale roadway winds gently into the distance, flanked by soft, rolling hills rendered in muted greens and blues. At the centre of the scene, a small wooden cart travels along the empty road, carrying two figures. Their forms are stylised in Lowry’s familiar manner—slender, minimal, and expressive despite their simplicity.  Unlike Lowry’s busy industrial street scenes, The Cart feels intimate and pastoral, focusing on a moment of travel, solitude, and gentle movement through the landscape.

This beautiful edition is hand signed by Lowry in his lifetime and also stamped by the Fine Art Trade Guild with it’s unique letter stamp denoting it to be from the limited edition run of 850 signed copies.  It has been sympathetically framed using UV protective glass and conservation standard acid free mounts.
