Albert Square by Arthur Delaney
An original drawing by the late Arthur Delaney dating back to 1972. This wonderful pencil drawing depicts a well known scene in Manchester previously immortalised by other legends of the Northern art movement including Pierre Adolphe Valette. The scene depicts figures making their way across Albert Square in Manchester under the gaze of Manchester Town Hall and it’s timeless sculptures.
Signed and dated by Delaney, this wonderful piece of northern art heritage also bears an original label from the Tib Lane Gallery in Manchester and explains that it was acquired from the private collection of the artist’s son, Mr S Delaney.
