Original oil on board painting of titled ‘The Awakening Earth’ by Lawrence Isherwood.
Executed on board as was typical of most of Isherwood’s work, he captures wonderful perspective in this composition which depicts the ploughed fields drifting off into the horizon. The painting is signed by Isherwood, titled and dated 1965 to the reverse and comes from the estate of the late Pat White, his partner in the late 1970s.
