Lovers Lane Hindley by James Lawrence Isherwood

A semi abstract townscape by Isherwood featuring an area of Wigan known as Hindley, a well known location for the artist.

Although unsigned, this wonderful painting comes directly from the collection of Isherwood’s late partner in the second half of the 1970s, Pat White.  The work is titled to the reverse and illustrated in the commemorative brochure for the ‘Pat White’ collection.
