Description
Shackleton by Frogman Tim Cotterill Bronze Sculpture
Obviously, owls are a most favoured subject matter for Tim Cotterill. Having sculpted them since 1972, he is fascinated by their beauty, character, and personality – and reminds us that, remarkably, they are the only birds with forward facing eyes. In an effort to stylise the sculpture and accentuate the barn owl’s traits, Tim intentionally exaggerates the size of the feet and the talons. All of the details have been stripped away, never compromising the message. The beauty, the character, and the personality of this fine example of its species, comes through loud and clear!
From an Edition of only 150, each example is numbered and signed by the Frogman and is complete with a certificate of authenticity.
