Northern Art Lounge

A dedicated art space in both our Lancashire and Cheshire art galleries devoted to artists from what has become known as the Northern School.  From the early influences of the likes of Pierre Adolphe Valette to his most famous student, L S Lowry, the northern school has become synonymous with artists immersed in, and influenced by, the industrial landscape of the north of England.

The influence of this cohort of artists now stretches beyond it's twentieth century roots in and around Manchester to surrounding counties and into the twenty first century with more contemporary artists including the likes of Lucy Manfredi.
