Neil Carroll

Neil's journey as an artist has been shaped by determination and a lifelong passion for painting. Although the realities of everyday life delayed his dream of becoming a professional artist, the ambition never disappeared. A self-taught painter from London, he began working in oils in 2011 and went on to achieve his goal of becoming a full-time artist in 2017.

A significant milestone came in 2014 when one of his paintings was selected for the Annual Exhibition of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters at the Mall Galleries. The recognition encouraged him to continue evolving his work, and he has since focused on developing a style that is distinctly his own.

Describing his creative process, Neil says, "I don't set out to paint what is in front of me, I try to create something with atmosphere and interest based on the subject. I remove as much detail as possible and paint as broadly as my mood allows."
