Emma Gibbons
British mixed-media artist Emma Gibbons grew up in the South West of England and studied art and illustration in London (BA at the London College of Printing, MA at Camberwell College of Art). Earlier in her career, she worked for seven years under Damien Hirst, including on the installation of For The Love of God, which gave her exposure to high-profile contemporary art production.
Gibbons is best known for vibrant, glittering, pop-culture-inflected works crafted from miniature hand-made components—pill capsules, resin sweets, playful slogans—that explore themes of consumerism, excess, colour and joy. Her clients include high-profile names such as Margot Robbie, Zoe Ball and Dawn French, and her work has been exhibited internationally at fairs and galleries in London, New York, Hong Kong and beyond.
