Introducing Lucy Manfredi

Last updated on

We are absolutely honoured to be able to introduce the work of the incredibly talent artist Lucy Manfredi.

Lucy Manfredi was born near Stockport in 1974 and had a fascination with art and creative pursuits from an early age.  Lucy then went on to achieve her degree from from Manchester Metropolitan University in Fine Art Illustration with Animation and then completed a Masters in Brighton.

After studying, Lucy worked in several artistic sectors before deciding that the medium of painting and drawing was her true calling. In 2018, Lucy was elected as a Member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Art (Manchester Academy of Fine Arts) and now works from her studio in Cheshire.

Not only is Lucy technically gifted, but her ability to bring a narrative to life is second to none.  With her characterful and nostalgic figures, Lucy takes the viewer back to an age of seeming innocence, often with a twist of humour.

Along with her purely figurative works, Lucy also tackles some of the North of England’s towns and landmarks in her townscapes and landscapes.  Above she beautifully depicts Davenport Station near Stockport, placing the solitary figure on the platform that brings the whole composition together.

Already the popularity of Lucy Manfredi’s work has been proven with hundreds of collectors already falling in love with her work and established dealers clammering to try and represent her.  In his 2024 retirement feature in the Manchester Evening News, the legendary Hale art dealer Bill Clark who is well known for showcasing original works by L S Lowry, was asked for his tip for a rising star, he made no hesitation, Lucy Manfredi he said.

We are thrilled at Hepplestone Fine Art to be exclusively representing this incredibly talented artist and will be working closely with her in the coming years to bring her paintings to an even wider audience.  Check out the current collection of Lucy Manfredi paintings in our Manfredi gallery here and even better, make a trip to either our Lancashire or Cheshire Art Gallery to take a look in person.  If you have not seen Lucy’s work before, when you look back in years to come, remember this is as the moment you first discovered the amazing Lucy Manfredi.
